Welcome

Project overall objective is to promote sustainable peace by encouraging greater civil society leadership and political participation among Kosovo’s youth. The specific objective of the proposed action is to foster the creation of the Kosovo Conflict Prevention Group, an indigenous local youth leadership network body intended to both model and promote action and advocacy by youth for civil society networks and conflict prevention mechanisms. The specific function of this body would be to: implement innovative multi-ethnic, conflict prevention, youth-led activities that address pressing needs in the areas of civic participation, security and minority reintegration; act as an influential youth leadership and advocacy body publicly promoting peace building initiatives; and to mentor and develop new generations of young leaders from across Kosovo’s ethnic communities to assist in the establishment of Early Warning Systems at the municipal and central level. These systems would serve to systematically monitor the inter-ethnic relations, and key drivers and main actors of the conflict.
